ANFO Stencils

You’ve probably already seen these clever stencils around town lake. Huge thanks to Reese for sending in these photos. It’s nice to see something quasi-political.

  6. nice bro ^.^ i like it

  7. Cool design, but isn’t this stuff illegal in most states?

  8. Well, I suppose if one is going to actually do graffiti, it would be best to have some artistic sense instead of the gang banners that we see in our town.

It is too bad that many graffiti efforts are simply gangs “spraying” their territories.

There are some really beautiful and gratifying graffiti works in the Los Angeles area, but all of them took time, and all of them had the permission of the building owners.

Of course, in some cases, city codes prohibit outdoor art no matter what the owners want.

I am not certain if building murals, like the one of Jim Morrison in Venice, would be considered graffiti art or not.

  9. Keep on going. Here in England Banksy’s work is now protected by the state and copies are sold in shops

  10. Great work, and Andy bennett I was thinking of Banksy as I looked at these pieces. There is certainly a market for these kind of pieces in the UK and im sure there must be in the US.
