Abels, Sayer, Cyst, Rodeo Pieces
Writers really love these white delivery trucks. The Berg face is an Austin icon these days.
Thanks to Carly for the above 4 shots. HABITS has been up around West Campus lately. There was an enormous hollow over the front of an abandoned storefront, but the building was taken apart a few days ago.
This colorful CYST piece was sent in anonymously.
Abels and Sayer have some of the most elaborate pieces in Austin. This piece was sent in by a local photographer, but I’m not sure if he wants to be identified by name.

I like the one on the truck, reminds me of my high school days, we used to paint some public buses.
Very Cool!! I would love to do a body painting all tagged up like these walls. That would be pretty sick! The first one is awesome!
can i post my graffiti?
I didn’t realize Austin had such a tagging scene. I’ll keep my camera ready next time I’m in town!
The colorful Cyst look really beautiful.
What a great idea for a post! Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed it.
I just wish the graphiti that has real heart and thought behind it wasn’t given such a bad rap due to untalented kids simply tagging any crap they get their hands on. No one could look at some of these and not call it a true art form. I also think the stencils are a great way for a kid that maybe doesnt have the skillz to do something nice looking if he tries. Just my 2 cents.
How colorful! Berg truck is fun
I love your photography !! specially i like white delivery trucks.excellent work

This caddy is spray painted on a legal graffiti wall in Austin, Texas. The colors make it Banksy quality work….
Some of this art is very nice. The only thing that would spoil it for me is if the people who own the property didn’t give permission.
In that case, it just becomes a violation of privacy, similar to peeping or robbery.
I don’t think this is just a matter of my not being liberal. I am liberal.
But, in many settings, graffiti just screams lawlessness and disorder to me.
I would love to hear how some graffiti artists justify what they do if they aren’t seeking permission.
If they are seeking permission perhaps we could call it something else other than graffiti.
The word Graffiti has so much negative energy associated with it.
