Tags around Guadalupe

Thanks to Shadid for the following pics. They were TAKEN FROM HIS IPHONE. He wanted me to make that clear.

MATH and DEVS tags on some plywood.

BERG tag.

A nice RGK throwie that was crossed out with a fat stream of red paint.

The old english typeface on the CRIME sticker is done nicely.

ANTI pasteup.

Tags and Stickers

The KUDOS paint looks pretty solid here.

Gama will tag anything.

RGK and BERG are both featured here on a sticker. I’d like to know the relation between them.

Kits doesn’t just tag. He or she has these wheatpastes up around Guadalupe. Note the WERKS tag above.

Underpass Graffiti

Haven’t forgotten about you guys. Here’s some more tunnel graffiti from Shadid and Carly.

There was a good 3D effect going on here.

Eye-popping fill and outline.
Stay tuned for more brand new pics next week.
So politicians use graffiti as a punching bag for political gain in America. That’s nothing new. But in India (bizarro america), the politicans [...]

Sayer Frog Style Graffiti

I love it when writers integrate cartoon characters into their pieces. The pictures below were sent in by Shadid and Carly. Thanks, guys.

A few similar pieces from other cities:

Smurfs actually pack heat all the time.

Some G’d out chipmunks. (knowngallery.com)

Zilker Park Graffiti

What do you call the area adjacent to Barton Springs where the water flows out of the main pool? I’ve called it  the “dog run” for years because of the consistent canine presence in the area. In the summer of 2008 there were some impressive pieces on a poolside ledge. I did not have my [...]

Pixação: As real as it gets

A friend brought my attention to this video:

The clip features Joao Wainer, a Brazilian filmmaker who talks about the basics of Pixação, a specific type of street art developed in Brazil. Pixação features sharp angles and bold letters which draw on heavy metal typography of the 1980s, according to Wainer. The name comes from “piche”, the local [...]

Tetris Graffiti

This larger-than-life tetris display was chalked onto the side of a building in the UT engineering complex for Girl Day. The rain washed it away within 48 hours. Next time we’ll give the engineers some krylon.
News:
We’ve been following the progress of WiiSpray, and it appears to be coming along nicely. It even supports stencils.
An art crew [...]

Your Graffiti Pictures

Hi folks. Sorry for the lull in posts. I’ve been especially busy with school this week. Fortunately, Brad, a local graff fan, has sent in some pictures for us to enjoy:

Noize and mizery throwies.

Great quality paint marker on the HeSHeR tag. [thanks jojo]

This person has good ideas, but needs more colors to work with.

Notice BERGERS [...]
